AEO Excellence Awards Winner!

We once again continue our excellent track record of winning at the prestigious AEO (Association of Event Organisers) awards. On the 19th June in front of 800 leading industry figureheads and at a glittering ceremony we were awarded the “Official Contractor of the Year” award at the famous London Hilton on Park Lane.
The “Official Contractor of the Year” category was new for 2009 and in a change from previous years where traditionally categories have highlighted individual services and divisions this new category recognises what companies do as a combined business across all products and services. It is therefore not only the most prestigious award to win for exhibition and event suppliers but very much the hardest one to win.
Our very own Bob Cheeseman stepped up to collect the award and comments:
“I had the honour of collecting this award on behalf of Melville, but this award belongs to everyone within the company. I wish all of our staff could have joined me on the stage. We have no star players; we just have one professional top of the league team”
The AEO awards have been running since 1994 and are considered to be the most coveted in the exhibition and event industry. Organised by the Association of Event Organisers they recognise product and service excellence, and winners are judged by some of the most highly respected names in the industry.
Melville CEO Nick Marshall adds:
“I’d like to thank all my staff for their hard work and effort. I’ve firmly believed for a number of years now that we have the very best people in the industry who reflect all of our core values in everything they do. Winning this coveted award reinforces that belief and their efforts have been clearly reflected in Melville winning it.
I’d like to also thank Logistics, Floorcoverings and Electrics for making it to the shortlist in their various categories. This is an achievement in itself and one of which they can be justifiably proud off”
